Class Room Manners

 

While we hope that you enjoy your experience at The Farmhouse Kitchen, we would like to remind you that you are in our home and we would appreciate it if you do not wander throughout the house but remained within the kitchen and dining area.

 

We would also ask you to please be respectful and polite to the staff and your fellow students.

Drop off and pick up:

 

If you are being dropped off to attend a class at The Farmhouse Kitchen, the person that is taking you to the class cannot wait for you on the property, in the car or in the house for the duration of the class. We would appreciate it if they can find an activity elsewhere while the class is in progress.

Attendance at lunch, morning tea and afternoon tea:

 

Our cooking school is an educational facility. While participants are invited to join us for lunch, morning tea or afternoon tea free of charge, it is not possible to bring friends or family members to attend with you either to observe the class in progress or attend the meal unless they are booked into the class.

 

Serving of Alcohol

 

As you are invited to join us for lunch you will be offered one glass of Tasmanian white or red wine. Wine is an important part of the Italian experience however Italians only drink a small glass of wine as a companion with the meal and in order to enhance the flavour of the food.

 

 

Dietary Restrictions

 

We will try to accommodate dietary restrictions wherever we can but it may not be possible to change every dish that is prepared in a class. Please let us know if you have any dietary issues or allergies prior to booking a class.

 

We apologise but we are unable to accommodate vegan, celiac, halal or kosher cooking.

 

 

Cancellations

 

We are a very small cooking school and cancellations have a big impact on our business, as a result, all paid bookings are NON-REFUNDABLE.

CREDIT: If you are unable to attend the class, please contact us at least 14 days before your scheduled class. This ensures that your funds are kept in credit and can be used at a future date, but 14 days' notice must be given otherwise you cannot use the credit for a future class, and you forfeit the funds.

TRANSFER TO ANOTHER CLASS: 14 days’ notice must be given to transfer to another date. If 14 days’ notice is not given it will be deemed as a cancellation and no credit given.
The booking is transferrable so you could simply ask a friend to take your place however you will not be rescheduled to another class. 

Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash.

For Your Comfort

 

Aprons will be provided for your use on the day. Please ensure that you are wearing comfortable footwear as you will be on your feet for a number of hours.
